I keep buying Elemis when it's on offer (goddamn you MNers) and I love the smell with a true and passionate lurve, but I don't actually think it's as good as NY.

I buy Elemis on offer and sometimes from eBay.
Must try the Neals Yard stuff too.

I am using Clarins Hydraquench preceded by the serum. Seems to be keeping the ravages at bay

Am also a big fan of facial oils. A little goes a long way and is v effective overnight.

Also exfoliate so moisturiser can sink in to parched skin.

Oh yes, I slop a handful of rosehip/apricot/sweet almond/argan (whichever bottle I grab first, I'll join you in the skincare hall Grace!) when skin is very dry.

Hydraluron has entirely changed my skin and I can't rave enough about it. It is not cheap, 25 quid for a small tube but its lasted me ages and I am more glowy than I have been in ages. It is a pre moisturiser treatment (so i just use it after cleansing like a serum) and you get it from Boots. Check out blog reviews esp Beauty Mouth. It is just brilliant brilliant brilliant.

We would have lovely white coats and silk scarfy type things which don't unravel!

Oh, rabbit has just reminded me I am also using a hyaluronic acid serum at the mo' which is lovely.

What's so great about the Elemis Marine cream? There was a poster last year raved about it and i biught it though waaayyy out of my budget but didn't seem to do much.

Eucerin does a fantastic range in boots.

Tried Elemis marine too, falling for all the yepe, and meh. Will check out Neal's yard,sounds great.

I've read very negative reports about Elemis on Paula's Beautypedia website.

I have used Clinique for years- all the versions for dry and very dry skin. Such as Moisture Surge and M Defence. But have been very impressed lately with Olay Regenerist 3-point cream, unperfumed version. Got from Amazon for around £10 instead of £30 in shops.

Clinique is horrible on my skin , like paint stripper whereas Elemis is fantastic. Depends what suits you.

I can't speak highly enough of Clinique TBH- for 10 years I had terrible eczema on my face and their moisturisers and foundation were all I could use without aggravating it- I don't use their toners ( in fact I don't use toners full stop)
