Please help me find a something to wear over my wedding dress in 2 days time!

I'm getting married on Saturday in a very low-key informal event. I'm wearing this dress with some tan sandals.

It's going to be freezing and wet on the day and we're taking public transport Hmm

What can I wear on top of the dress to keep me warmish and dryish?

I don't suit macs usually (makes my boobs look like two giant flat squashed things), which is annoying. I thought something like this Fearne Cotton Ditsy print mac might just be OK but it's out of stock in my size (10)

Only have tomorrow to go and buy something - can I have your ideas/suggestions?

Which shops do you have access too? Would you be happy to pay for same day delivery?

MrsLettuce · 09/05/2013 20:50

possibly? mainly because of the delivery options TBH

NCBrideDesperado · 09/05/2013 20:51

Can get to most shops MrsL, and yep would pay for delivery.

Budget isn't massive but I'm desperate!

maybe

blue?? No issues with the shades of cream not working together and still kind of appropriate as in 'something blue'

floppy trench

very, very simple

Thurlow · 09/05/2013 21:04

this?

NCBrideDesperado · 09/05/2013 21:07

Like the warehouse one the best, will check it out tomorrow. Bit unsure about no collar but might grow on me!

Or this or I quite like this fake fur, though you'd have to see it in person I think.

MrsLettuce · 09/05/2013 21:09

navyblue but rather lovely and if you like it you'd get a lot of wear from it. Belt is awful but detachable.

NCBrideDesperado · 09/05/2013 21:19

You're right that belt is awful Mrs L, gorgeous coat though - another possibility.

Thanks for all your suggestions so far Smile

No suggestions, but wanted to say that dress is beautiful & I hope you have a lovely day.

NCBrideDesperado · 09/05/2013 21:23

Aww thanks MrsB Thanks

here front on, sans belt. Seems to just be a pointless bit of cord Hmm

If you decide to go with cream / neutral you'd really need to take your dress with you to make sure the two shades are OK together

NCBrideDesperado · 09/05/2013 21:35

They're like those curtain tie-backs with a big knot of tassels

Yeah have had a few cream clashes this week, will be creasing carefully taking my dress with me

StatisticallyChallenged · 09/05/2013 21:39

Are you definitely looking for cream or are there any colours you would consider?

NCBrideDesperado · 09/05/2013 21:50

Would consider pretty much any colour but I look awful in red

tethersend · 09/05/2013 22:15

Topshop again

MildredH · 10/05/2013 07:46

I think the navy Coast coat is beautiful and pefect for the occasion..

No idea whether will still be valid but maybe worth checking- I saw that Coast was offering 25% off with a Hello mag the other day..

Hope you have a wonderful day- your dress is fab x

MrsLettuce · 10/05/2013 13:31

Tethers second topshop one looks like it'd work a treat.
