Is there such a thing as a pretty and stylish below the knee but not maxi skirt?

Just that, any not too expensive ideas would be much appreciated.

I love this one, but I am aware it's not meeting the not too expensive requirement Blush!

I've got a black one like that Whistles one and get zillions of positive comments whenever I wear it, even though it is about ten years old.

Would depend what the colour is like irl

I saw somebody wearing what I think might have been this the other day and it looked v nice worn in a slightly retro manner.

Lots here

Such a pity that most of them are polyester though.

Have seen this in the shop window and have fallen a little in love with it: not tried it on yet though.

This is sooo much help, thank you everyone. A size 20, not lost post baby weight. For a 50th birthday, smart casual.

I love what you have all picked out, thank you. Am definitely going to get my lardy ass moving when I get back from this party so I can wear some of these stylish recommendations!
