Hi,

I'm looking for some comfy flat sandals for very wide feet. Any ideas as to what I should get? I'd prefer them to be black in colour.

Thanks for your help! Smile

Have you had a look at Hotter shoes?

ButteryJam · 05/05/2013 09:45

No I haven't had a look at those but will do. Any other recommendations?

Birkenstocks

I've got some from M&S last year, wide fit foot glove ones, they are lovely and comfy and wider than I need. Not sure what colours hey have this year.

ggirl · 05/05/2013 09:48

M&S footglove
Fitflop-some styles are very wide

Roshbegosh · 05/05/2013 09:52

If you have wide feet you could look at Evans, they are very wide but if you want something stroppy that wont dig into broad feet they might be worth a look.

JennySense · 05/05/2013 10:27

I got some Birkenstocks from Amazon. The straps are adjustable which helps get a better fit :)

doglover · 05/05/2013 11:20

Fitflops are bliss!

cocolepew · 05/05/2013 11:22

Birkinstocks, they come in a wide fitting too.

ArcticRoll · 05/05/2013 14:30

These are lovely-Salt Water ones from Toast-www.toast.co.uk/product/footwear/F1AN9/SALT-WATER+SANDAL.htm-I have wide feet and they are super comfy but chic.

forgetmenots · 05/05/2013 17:39

Clarks have wide fit sandals, I had to buy wide ones this week as my feet have swollen up in pregnancy. (I bought these, and they are so comfy: www.clarks.co.uk/p/20352938) They have loads of other styles in black though. I don't think you can beat Clarks purely on comfort!

BreasticlesNTesticles, how do the M&S ones feel around the front part of the feet? My feet are very wide!

greenshoes

Women's corporative, they will make them for you in any finish, leather or other, hundreds to choose from, any sole, they draw round your feet, (or you can do so and send it in on their special chart) they take measurements of every aspect of your foot,

and if you do ever manage to wear them out, they will resole them for you.

It will be the most comfortable pair of shoes you ever own and last for years.

Fine, but I have prob an E fitting feet?

ButteryJam · 06/05/2013 18:04

Went into town today, and Birkenstocks look so uncomfy!!! Flip flops looked ok but are too pricey. The wide feet ones in M&S, the back straps hurt the back of my feet when walking, and Gabor too bit looked too stiff. So I'm back to square one now ... Any further ideas?

These dark laze slide sandals?

Dollydowser · 06/05/2013 19:34

I have wide feet, too wide for Fit flos, and I don't like myself in Birkenstocks. I stand up for many hours for my job, and I have found Naot Ashley's to be really comfortable (read the reviews on Amazon). I have had them in black, now wearing the red, and had many, many compliments. I bought them from a shop in Guildford which is now closed down, not sure where to get them from in the UK now though.

VisitorTheDog · 06/05/2013 19:50

ArcticRoll do you think the seasalt sandals stretch a bit? I've got a pair and they're a bit tight around the front if my foot. Wondering if they're going to improve!

JimbosJetSet · 06/05/2013 19:53

Hush Puppies! Seem to come wide as standard and many of their styles are very soft leather. Brantano usually carry quite a good range.

VisitorTheDog · 06/05/2013 19:53

Because if they are I want a pink pair too Grin

JimbosJetSet · 06/05/2013 19:58

BTW I am a E/EE fitting and Hush Puppies are wide enough for me Grin

ExRatty · 06/05/2013 20:03

desti

those shoes are uglier even than the cornish pasty porn ones on the other thread
