Men's jeans that don't get rips in the knees?

So, DH has very bony knees and goes through his jeans in about 6 months. It is very expensive and annoying! Any suggestions for men's jeans that might be extra strong in the knee department? He's v tall and thin, if that makes a difference... TIA!

Edwin or Nudie. Pricey bit worth it.
