I don't see the point of shoes for such a small baby myself.
The only things I like are the little leather slip ons, like Daisy Roots.

bought ds a nice pair of sandals in clarks and also a pair of doodles which I love and dd used to live in, they last forever and you can wash them a million times

blueamema · 18/05/2006 14:52

where can i find doodles

Is she walking? No point in shoes if not, IMO. Save your money for a pretty sundress!

hunkercaribou · 18/05/2006 14:54

Doodles are for walking children - Clarks make them.

Bozza · 18/05/2006 14:54

When my children were this age they just went barefoot in the summer.

doodles are clarkes but I wouldn't have thought they would sell them in baby sizes - they are meant for walking children.

laughinglil · 18/05/2006 15:47

save your money you'll need it for when they are walking kids shoes cost loads well alot if you add up how many pairs you will have to buy in their childhood!

blueamema · 18/05/2006 20:04

not walking, but crawling around everywhere....

wanted something to protect her feet when we are out and about on hols ... pebbly beach?

If she's crawling on a pebbly beach she'll need knee pads as well. Grin

Have you not already got some soft shoes? Or you could go to Clarks for some crawlers - they do some that buckle in summery styles. I really don't think they will do doodles small enough.

What do you mean by too girly?

hi there,
i work in an independant local shoe store in the town where i live. No reputable shoe shop should sell you proper shoes for a child who hasnt been walking for at least 3/4 week. The only thing for babies feet if you really want them are Daisy Roots or their equivalent (of which there r a few) they are very soft soft leather and wont damage feet at all, but any of these types would not last 5 mins on a pebbly beach.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, blinking computer, kept saying website was broken please retry - obviously it wasnt!!!!! sorry

LIZS · 18/05/2006 21:09

Weird . I posted earlier but it's not here ! You may be able to get surf style shoes small enough (\link{http://www.kids-kaper.co.uk/system/index.html\Kooshies}start at a size 3-4 which will probably be too big) but barefeet are better or even the soft leatehr bootees like Daisy Roots. Chances of her crawling far on pebbles are pretty slim.
