What would you wear with my new top?

Just bought this Mint Velvet top & love it, highly recommend this top.

I'm hoping to wear it to an 80th birthday Sunday lunch but can't work out what to wear it with.

Am toying with some white, ankle length straight jeans style trousers. But if I go with them, what shoes? My proper high heels look a little tarty, sandals look too beachy. Peep toe sling backs maybe?

Any other suggestions for bottoms to go with this top please?

I am 5ft tall, size 16 so that is a little limiting! Brunette, warm tone.

Very pretty. I think it would look nice with khaki skinny cargos. Suede ankle boots would work with the look you've mentioned or a chunky strappy sandal.
