my underwire has popped out in the middle, is there anything i can do?

Dh put it in the washing machine and the end in the middle has come undone so it's poking through. I've tried sewing it but its just pushed through it again. Is there anything I can do other than throw it away?

What about sewing a small square to cover the hole that has been made by the wire? I've done this before, and it's seems to have worked for me.

I had three do this, all in the same week. I just sewed them securely back in. A thimble was essential, though, though as the material was super-thick.

That was months ago and they are still worn regularly.

You need to use double thread and sew and sew and sew over the same bit.
