Boys christening outfit

With 2 weeks to go untill my sons christening we've realised he's not going to fit into the family gown.

I'm not sure what to get him. John Lewis and M&S do a traditional long gown but they seem to talk about them as if dresses were only for girls. I thought that boys wore a christening dress too. If I do get one of these options what should he wear under it?

The other option seems to be some sort of silk romper suit.

What do people think? We're a rather traditional family and it's going to be a very traditional service with a lunch back home afterwards.

If anyone could tell me how to link I could show some pictures - i can't seem to work it out!

I think traditionally biys wear something like this but I have seen biys christened in suits, traditiobal long dresses and white sleepsuits, so whatever you like really.
