Best way to pad out shoes that are slightly too big?

I've got some lovely new pointy heeled shoes in size 8. I'm usually a 7 but these were quite narrow so i bought 8s. They are really flattering height & width-wise but are flapping off a bit with tights on.

Are insoles the way to go or some kind of gel insert? I feel like I want to stuff something down the toes so my heel fits better. Any ideas?

A half-sole might help. And/or you could try the leather heel grips that you fix inside the heel.

You need a heel grip.

I got heel grips in the end. They were brilliant so thank you !
