Am getting my hair done on Saturday - high/low lights - full head and cut.

At present my hair is dark brown, about 2 inches past my shoulders, very very very very thick, naturally wavy but not nice.

I have very pale skin and blue/ green eyes.

My main issue is that I'm overweight and my face shows it :( I want a suggestion that won't make this worse.

Ok so suggestions for cut and what colours would be extremely grateful received. I do straighten my hair but not always and I need it to be able to be tied up ideally.

Thanks!

hard to know without seeing the shape of your hair/face, you sound as if you have great foundations in terms of colouring and skin tone etc. When hair is really thick, I think the thing to avoid is a 'triangle' shaped hairstyle, i.e. with the widest points at the bottom.

Also, if you put a colour rinse (another similar brown tone, for example) through your hair, the added pigment can make hair softer and more manageable, and you can get that benefit without changing the basic colour.

Have you tried the Babyliss Big hair styler - it's very good for smoothing without going poker straight?

Oh I had triangle hair in my teens

I use ghd straighteners - can't really afford another hair dryer tbh. That's the other thing, I can't afford to get my hair done every 6 week or anything so that's a consideration.

Do you have/want a fringe?

BeaWheesht · 23/04/2013 18:36

I don't have a fringe. I don't mind.

Furball - I clicked on your link and it took me to a horrid porn site

Weird just checked because was surprised as you're a long term poster nd this time it took me to a gambling site. Both times it briefly went to the hairstyle page.

No worries :)

I do like that but wonder if it'd take a lot of styling
