OK, I know some people don't bother but, for those that do, what pants do you wear under gym wear?

What do you wear under tight capri length leggings type gym wear.

I just can't go commando, doesn't seem (or feel) right but on the other hand VPL bothers me. I don't do thongs either.

Is there such a thing as cotton, non-VPL big pants that don't end up in the wrong place IYSWIM?

I'd suggest pants make you chafe more.

At spin I look at arses a lot. The pants wearers are very small in number

Grin PMSL at you looking at arses a lot! Also though, have you considered that maybe they are wearing pants . In fact they are wearing the pants that I want...the ones that look as if you aren't wearing pants.

Next time, ask them which ones they are! Please. Grin

Murraylover · 21/04/2013 22:17

Ps midi

I wear the no vpl shorts from Sainsburys or asda, they are about 3quid a pair/3 pairs for 7quid.
I work in a fitness environment so wear them everyday, they are very comfortable and invisible

aPseudonymToFoolHim · 21/04/2013 22:21

lady someone in my class once had the misfortune to have a split seam. She didn't seem to notice, so I had to go and tell her Blush

GemmaTeller · 21/04/2013 22:21

Seam free M&S ones in black

peasandlove · 22/04/2013 10:34

i always wear seam free pants

Whitecat · 22/04/2013 11:39

M&S no VPL on size larger. Perfect

Whitecat · 22/04/2013 11:40

one size larger.

Branleuse · 22/04/2013 11:41

cotton m&s thong, 2 sizes bigger than my normal size

Branleuse · 22/04/2013 11:45

I never wear thongs any other time, but knickers look terrible under tight gym pants, and if you get the thong bigger than you would normaly, its not uncomfortable at all, nor do you get a visible thong line

kaumana · 22/04/2013 12:39

I have the ones Whitecat linked to in black, as she said they do the job perfectly, I'd agree about sizing up.

foxysocks · 22/04/2013 12:46

cotton boy shorts from figleaves.

carrie74 · 22/04/2013 13:10

It has never occurred to me to wear different pants from those I'm already wearing (in fact, I rarely given any thought to how I look when exercising, it's not a fashion show innit?). I do generally favour cotton boy shorts/bikinis though, and my tops tend to cover my hips.

bigTillyMint · 22/04/2013 13:19

I would never go commando - eeeeuuuuwwww!

I generally wear a thong (can't stand my bum eating my knickers, but i would say wear a colour close to your gymwear as I realised the other day that there were two (very small) holes in my ancient bottoms, revealing my white undies!Blush Black undies wouldn't have shown at all.

NorbertDentressangle · 22/04/2013 13:41

Well I've ordered some cotton non-VPL Sloggi briefs/shorts so will see how I get on with those.
