Idiopathic Guttate Hypomelanosis

Anyone else have this?

Have been searching for a while to find out what the white patches on my arms, legs and chest are.

Basically caused by sun damage. A freckle in reverse if you like.

I guess they are only going to get worse ??

I have a few on my shins, haven't been able to find a cure sadly Sad

I don't think there is a cure.

I have noticed them a lot on older people in sunnier countries.

So, I guess we can either stay out of the sun, or just live with it.

i have these! They are most obvious/worst on my legs, and I always wondered what they were, so at least now I know. I try and hide mine with fake tan.

Good tip Shirley. Will have a spray tomorrow. :) I have a light tan at the mo after a recent trip - so they are quite obvious.

I have some of these too but didn't realise it was due to sun damage, thought it was another of those wonderful symptoms of getting old!

My poor dd has really bad psoriasis, and when the psoriasis itself clears up, she's left with loads of similar looking white patches. She, too, uses false tan to try and disguise them.

Hi I know this is late but did anyone ever get a good treatment for this?
