Where do you buy good quality vests from?

I want some strappy ones in black, maybe white too. I need a good Lycra content as well.

Mine are all cheapy supermarket ones.

Zara did some lovely ones years ago but last time I went it wasn't as good.

M&S? I buy mine from them, good quality, although I do not really wear vest very often, so don't know if they are long lasting.

Esprit. They are long and very stretchy, and mine have lasted years. Two for £15 usually.
They are not cotton, however.
I wear them day in day out all year around.

I've looked on m and s, nothing there strappy enough, boden have what I want though.

Which is deeply troubling.

Another huge Esprit fan.

SoupDragon · 21/04/2013 10:26

They have free delivery and free returns too so it's risk free.

Another shout for M&S - their ribbed supima ones are great (but they have thick straps, and I know they're not what you want, sorry!)

The best strappy ones I've had have actually been from New Look, but at their moment theirs sadly all have weirdly scooped necklines - I don't know abut you but I like squarish necklines on strappy vests.

Other than that I reckon Esprit would be a good bet - their basics are usually pretty good, and not pricey, and also Gap Body.

Also, did you look in the underwear section in M&S? They usually have strappy vests, admittedly with lace along the neckline.

Mominatrix · 21/04/2013 11:20

Uniqlo. Excellent cotton and very well priced.

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/04/2013 11:25

I've got some of the M&S vests with the lace, I like the square neck line as its more flattering to small busts.

But there's nothing tempting me from their other vests.

Worrying liking for this in White does it look thin material?

I might buy one esprit and one boden and send back the rejects.

I have about 20 of the M&S spaghetti strap vests. They're in the underwear department - usually 2 for £8. They ate cotton and elastain mix but feel cotton. Come in many many colours.

Think I've found what I like

I know you said good quality so you may think I'm mad but I buy mine from Primark. £2 each and they have a lovely stretch and they stay good for ages - honest!

Branleuse · 21/04/2013 13:39

i get mine from new look.
I have some that are years old and still fine and i wear them a lot.

Double up as underwear in winter and outerwear in summer and theyre about £3 each

This is what I bought last time, compare.ebay.co.uk/like/350766815417?var=lv&ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar&_lwgsi=y&cbt=y&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=63&ff19=0 but they don't cover my muffin top any more.
