If anyone is interested in veggie shoes then I'd recommend going into the very cheap shoe shops. The one here in Newcastle is called 'Priceless Shoes' ironically, but they are selling non-leather Birkenstock arizona style sandals at the mo for 6 quid (I got 3 pairs!) and always have some kind of veggie loafer too.

La Redoute and Vertbaudet are good for non-leather boots, and loads of places sell fabric type shoes.
