A first communion outfit which will morph into a graduation ( son) outfit!

I have a first communion at the end of April ( so child friendly) and my son,s graduation mid July which I think will be a fairly dressy affair( medicine and adults only)
Get your thinking caps on!
I am 46, size 18-20 massive norks ,even bigger tummy and narrower hips.cant wear too high heels( as have to wear instep)and was hoping not to spend over £100 .
All ideas welcome..I,m hoping the weather will be good but will have to take into account that the communion is in NI and the grad is on England's south coast, the riviera it is not!but you never know :)
Good luck!

I think the underwear would be fine!

Are you looking to wear the same thing to both?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 14/04/2013 21:50

This one?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 14/04/2013 21:52

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 14/04/2013 21:54

Too busy?

motherofluvlies · 14/04/2013 22:34

Oh thank you Remus....I would be worried about looking a bit preggers with my tummy in the first one but Love the pattern.I think the 2nd one would make me look a bit matronly and the 3 rd.....not sure, not sure.
So do I order online?really new to all this and hate returns malarkey.

I never order online tbh, unless I've already tried something on irl and have managed to find it cheaper online. What sort of shapes do you normally wear?

Now you are going to laugh .i only have one dress!i got it for a wedding a few years ago .its a " Ben de Lisi " principles. Its black with white beading around the edges so to speak.its that double chiffony finish :) not too good at this..it hangs but doesn't cling....sleeveless.i wore it with a silver swing jacket ( mad men style) and highish red patent Mary Janes with a matching patent red clutch.
I just needed a change as I have wore it to death and I also feel its a little too dressy for these occasions as the jacket is very dressy but I love it.
