Where would you take your 11yo DD for school shoes?

I usually take DD to Clarks but she got some Kickers for winter that she loves (too warm for summer though)

She needs strap (Mary Jane style) or lace-up. Must be Black

Where would you go?
I need to go to a shop rather than online.
I can get to Bluewater /Lakeside or (at a push) Westfields Stratford City.

TIA

Schuh or Office in Lakeside. Loads or choice Smile

Clarks, even for my teens.

DD2 (12) wears Clarks kids brogues.
DD1 (15) is a nightmare and wears Clarks adults Velcro strapped things that are comfortable, but not stylish.

If any one can link to school friendly, stylish shoes with laces or straps other than brogues I would love you forever.

Brogues are out because DD2 has them

I still take DD2 (13) to Clarks. Probs won't get away with it next year though as she'll be in Y9.

Lots of girls at my school wear these [[http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00C1KU0K2 DMs] which I think are really cool (tho the fatc that I say so probably immediately makes them uncool! Grin

Startrite have an older range now. I haven't seen it in real life though.

DD(13 3/4!) wears her Kickers all year round. She had a brief fling with Clarks brogues but prefers her Kickers! We just go along the road to our local shoeshop!

bigTillyMint · 12/04/2013 01:25

Oh and 70, do not wish your DD into womens sizes - childrens shoes are much cheaper!
