dressing up this dress to wear to a wedding

Hope that you might be able to help...

I have got this dress to wear to a wedding: www.johnlewis.com/whistles-danya-belted-shift-dress/p373602

I like it cos it fits well and i think suits my shape. But what can I do to dress it up a bit? I was thinking of bright(er) shoes and bag?

I am 32 and 5'8" size 14/16. I am not really a dressy kind of person and not good in heels so will need to practice if I go for them. I am very pale and have dark hair.

Any ideas or advice so I don't look like I'm going to an interview would be gratefully received! :)

I'd change the belt for something in a bright acid colour. A big collar necklace, and then bright pointed flats - no point buying heels if you never wear them and pointy flats are always good with jeans. Box clutch. Apart from the shoes, you might well be able to get the rest from Accessorize for thrumpence.
