Anyone ever had their colours done

and said "what a waste of money" afterwards?

All I've seen heard is it was the best things I ever did type comments, but usually from people with a vested interest.

After 10 years of being that mum in the fleece with no make up I really need to get my act together, but I don't think I had much of an act before and this seems a good place to start. I like the idea of the whole colours, personal style and make-up lesson thing. It's a lot of money, but I can justify it on the basis I haven't spent anything on myself in years Grin Don't want to waste it though.

I had it done last year at a party for 6 people that my friend organised so it worked out very cheap per person, about £25 each. Each person only got a short time with the consultant but I'd done some research online beforehand and she confirmed my self-diagnosis that I was an autumn. I have brown hair, greenish-grey eyes and warm skin tone so there wasn't much else I could be! It was useful to have the draping done and confirmed my suspicion that I can no longer wear black anywhere near my face. I didn't bother buying the swatch of colours - I just look at the Kettlewell colours website to see what shades work for autumn.

Really great to read all of these comments as I had the same question!
