Want to change my hairdresser

but the one I use now is a family friend. She cuts it all right, but is frankly not very good at highlights, last time they came out very 'lumpy'. She and her sister run the salon, and they don't seem to be keeping up with new techniques etc. A decent magazine and cup of coffee would be nice too, they don't bother with such things where I go now.

But what do I say next time I bump into the friend?

Also, what will I pay for highlights if I go to a city centre salon in the midlands. The friend is pretty cheap £11 for a cut and blow, £22 for highlights and blow.

Cheers 006.

She doesn't need support tho', her hubby used to work with me in our old company, so he does all her computing etc for her .

Hi 006, yes, I think the improved weather has got things moving to encourage me to be more up-beat.

I got my hair cut shorter about 2 weeks ago, have bought some fresh make-up cos my lot was all a bit tired, and have been re-mixing my wardrobe to see what new combinations I can try out. Don't want to buy too much until I see more money coming in.

I'm partly inspired cos I want to book a holiday for the spring of next year. DH needs a new car, so won't commit to a holiday, so I'll just try to earn enough myself.
