i am fed up with my hair.....and trying to rediscover my old self.
it is wavy more than curly, currently near my shoulder blades and i've got wispy new growth after losing my 'pregnancy' hair. the new growth is forming an irritating wispy fringe.....
i have been known to venture down the road of radical before both with colour and style. i've had it very long and hippyish and a short pixie crop. i want something funky, something rock star cool and can't find anything i like....that isn't uber short. i'm quite concious that my nose isn't dainty and is more 'noticeable' when i have short hair. plus i tend to look boyish because iam quite petite.
i don't know if the ranks of mumsnet can help.....but it is always worth asking.

I'm after restyling mine to and have been google searching hair sites for ideas. then copying into a folder to see which ones make DH flinch and which ones don't.

what colour is it? A trim/some new layers and new colour might be just the job as it sounds like you don't want to lose too much length.

well the bottom half is a strange shade of red...a remnant from dec 2004 when i dyed it just before finding out i was pg. naturally it is quite mousey brown and was thinking of going lighter (not too much though) for a change because i usually go much darker than natural.
i just find that it gets tangled and just looks like a limp mess all the time. i look so 'tired' and my hair is a big part of the problem. was thinking of having a fringe.
i just need to be prepared because past experience has shown i don't always get many suggestions from the hairdresser. have gone for a salon where all the staff look funky/modern hoping i'll get someone who is more in tune with where i'm coming from.
i need to have something done because at the moment i just stick it in a pony tail so it looks tidy.
