AMAZING!

I just had a quick go, straight out the box on dry hair, no product, now all curly.

I've only done a few small sections, it would take ages to do the whole lot as it doesn't work with big chunks.

Yep, my hair is quite frizzy and has a natural (rubbish) curl.

AlexaChelsea · 30/10/2013 19:09

But, you can't do the roots? So, how do you do the roots? Do you need to get the regular curlers out as well? Confused.

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 31/10/2013 09:14

its £119 at Argos at the moment

SorrelForbes · 31/10/2013 09:29

It does let you get pretty close to the roots, close enough anyway.

AlexaChelsea · 31/10/2013 10:45

How close? I want one, it looks great, but I have never bought a curling device that I have been happy with before, and I still have to use GHD's to curl my (waist length..) hair

It takes forever, and I don't want yet another wasted money gadget lying about. Especially not for £165

OddBoots · 31/10/2013 10:52

From what I have seen if you have long hair or extensions you need the Pro perfect curl - the curl secret can't cope with long hair.

AlexaChelsea · 31/10/2013 10:58

Sorry, what's a curl secret?

The thing I thought this was about is the device with the ball shaped thing on the end - you put your hair in, it sucks it in and curls it. Is that not it?

OddBoots · 31/10/2013 11:00

They do two that work the same kind of way, one aimed at professionals and one aimed at home users, they seem to be similar but not exactly the same so if you are going to spend that kind of money it is worth working out which to get.

The one the OP mentions is the pro one (perfect curl) and the one mentioned as being for sale in argos is the slightly cheaper home one (curl secret).

AlexaChelsea · 31/10/2013 11:03

So the proper £165 one would be good for my long hair (and do my roots, or close enough that I would be happy Grin)

mammadiggingdeep · 31/10/2013 11:42

Oh no!!!!! Just watched the you tube vid.....bloody amazing!!

I need one in my life!! Amazing.

Where can I get the cheapest one?? (Desperate voice...)

OddBoots · 31/10/2013 11:53

Maybe not the cheapest, I'm not sure, but the reviews of the site seem very good and it's express delivery (I'm not patient!) so I've ordered it here - as I have only just ordered though I can't verify anything.

OddBoots · 31/10/2013 11:54

(Paid £142.50 delivered with a couple of free gifts).

OddBoots · 31/10/2013 12:00

Oh goodness, I hope I don't regret this, it's a lot of money but as I have a dd with long hair hopefully we'll both get use from it.

mammadiggingdeep · 31/10/2013 12:03

Haha...my dd's are mixed race with the curliest hair you've ever seen!! I can't even try to justify it that way! Gulp. But I've really got to have one!

It's the kind of thing you can have for years and years... (She says desperately trying to convince herself)

mammadiggingdeep · 31/10/2013 12:04

Thanks for the link oddboots. That's a good saving. Would be rude not to get one at that price.....

OddBoots · 31/10/2013 12:45

It would indeed, almost giving them away. ~coughs~ ~looks guilty~

prettyinpink90 · 31/10/2013 12:48

Ahhh i've just watched the video and I really want one now!

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 01/11/2013 12:19

oh bugger, gorn and done it I am so easily led, but it does look so easy and curls will be a nice change once in a while...

thelittlemothersucker · 01/11/2013 12:33

Oddboots - did it come yet?

OddBoots · 01/11/2013 14:37

No, not yet. Sad I only got dispatch notice this morning so I'm guessing tomorrow or Monday.

BaconAndAvocado · 01/11/2013 15:01

Wow! It looks amazing but think I'll stick to my wand and heated rollers until they lower the price!

SuitsYouFleur · 01/11/2013 16:12

Boots have an online promotion until 4th Nov. 20% off all orders over £75 with code SPOOKY. Just ordered the Babyliss Curl Secret.

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 01/11/2013 16:20

how much did you pay suits? if you don't mind me asking

SuitsYouFleur · 01/11/2013 16:22

£107. Result!

OhTheDrama · 01/11/2013 20:52

Crap this board is seriously bad for my bank card! Bought some enrapture extremity curlers this time last year but they leave a funny looking ridge where the clip has been. Have ordered these in the hope I get better looking curls. Had some Tesco club cards points sitting so ended up getting the curl secret for £60!
