What type of tie to go with this jacket for DH please

DH has a similar version of this linen jacket to wear to a wedding. It is greenish linen with a vague blue and red check. He is wearing a white shirt underneath it and it is a casual wedding but I am thinking he probably needs a tie.

I would buy a tie in the same blue as the blue check.

I don't think it needs a tie. Formal trousers, white shirt and cuff links would be quite a nice look. Maybe a green hanky in the pocket.

Thanks, would you put a normal silk tie with a linen jacket? I am thinking about taking it but him not wearing it if others aren't.
