Is there such a thing as seasonal hair loss/shedding?

I thought I had my hair shedding under control - tests showed I had very low Ferritin stores which I've addressed by taking Ferrous Fumerate since DEcember.

But suddenly this past week, noticed loads more shedding. Tonight in shower, the amount that came out shocked me.

We've had nits, so lots of combing. But still - i feel worried. Not sure what to do and clinging to idea that Spring is coming so I'm losing...

Any thoughts?

I have noticed in the past few years that I seem to lose more hair in Winter.
Or maybe I'm just distracted by the sun in Summer and don't notice it.

Yes, I lose most in August and September.

I've been wondering this too-the last week I've had loads of hair loss-although I think I may be low in iron as I have other symptoms too.
