Denim dress wanted - anyone seen a nice one?

I would love a denim dress but it must;

Not be short (knee ish length)
Quite like the flared style as opposed to tight fitting
Long sleeves or some type of sleeves would be nice
I like indigo denim

Any ideas where I could find one?

Try fat face gap etc.

Jcee · 01/04/2013 10:13

gap?

PacificDogwood · 01/04/2013 10:16

I just got the Gap dress Jcee linked to.
It's nice, but one sleeve kind of disintegrated after the 2nd wear Confused.
It's not a seam, but the material proper, v odd.

I am going to have a moan about it to Gap although I don't know if they will do anything about it as it's worn.

Jcee · 01/04/2013 10:22

Thats rubbish Pacific - hope you get your money back, sounds like you should. I'd been eyeing that one up too....

PacificDogwood · 01/04/2013 10:28

It is nice, good length, roomy enough to move, but still with a bit of a waist. I think I was unlucky. I did not notice a fault when I first wore it and now there is a 2 inch hole - I think I would've spotted that!

Pier One

Pinkflipflop · 01/04/2013 10:35

I like that dress! Can I ask what sort of length it is? How thick is the denim?

I love the pier one denim dress but not the shade! It's very close to what I want except for the colour!

I think Esprit have one...

waxlyrical · 01/04/2013 12:53

I have an indigo denim shirt dress from boden which I love. It Has proper long sleeves (no three quarter rubbish) and is knee length on me. I'm 5ft 3 so might be too short if youre taller.

QueenCadbury · 01/04/2013 13:10

Not cheap but hobbs have this

GoingVerySlowlyMad · 01/04/2013 13:24

Not indigo denim but saw this in Sainsburys at the weekend.

Pinkflipflop · 01/04/2013 13:55

I really love the Hobbs one but it's a bit short at 84cm!

So hard to find one!

i've got the Sainsbury's i've. I am toying with dying it darker, but for £20 i'm not complaining. It looks and feels a lot pricier.

ujjayi · 01/04/2013 16:23

Boden version from 2 years ago. A few available on eBay. Lovely chambray fabric. Looks great layered with long sleeve tee beneath and boots for cooler weather; flip flops for summer. Sleeves are full length.

ellangirl · 01/04/2013 17:03

Again not cheap but fair trade here not sure why in euros though? My local fair trade shop sells this brand so you could look at stockist list.

GoingVerySlowlyMad · 01/04/2013 17:04

Couldn't myself and picked the sainsburys one I linked earlier when I nipped in for a bag of carrots. It's actually much darker than it looks online. I don't usually get on with shirt dresses so will see what it looks like later!

DCIlouisemonroe · 01/04/2013 17:20

Great Plains have one this season.

BrunellaPommelhorse · 01/04/2013 17:56

oh the HObbs one is vile - dont do that, plus the Gap one no good for anyone with tits

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/04/2013 18:01

The Hobbs one is v serving wench imho. I don't like full ones, as they can look quite buxom milkmaid on anybody with norks. I like the shirt dress ones, especially over the knee. Mine is ancient and from Monsoon of all places. I'm now looking for a lighter, chambray one.

BrunellaPommelhorse · 01/04/2013 18:03

I dont like ones that look Cell block H type
you have to look amazing not to look liek you are on remand

BrunellaPommelhorse · 01/04/2013 18:04

life imprisonment for eg

BrunellaPommelhorse · 01/04/2013 18:05

Oasis its ok ish not sure abotu belt

PacificDogwood · 01/04/2013 18:05

Ahem, I am blessed in the norks department (34G) and the Gap dress was fine from that point of view.

I am now feeling quite protective of it and want you to like it HmmGrin.
