Where to buy classic pjs for a small boy?

Does anyone have any idea as everywhere I try is too expensive or 'character'-themed but I'm after something simple, ideally light blue, for our 2 yr old.

I've tried Next, jojo maman, John Lewis, M&S, Boden... Anytime I've found something it's out of stock.
Thanks if anyone has ideas!

Primark usually have some in checks or tartan style patterns. They also have a lot of character themed ones. I've never seen any plain ones though

The little white company
Quite expensive but wash & wear beautifully. Also 20% off codes are plentiful.

cece · 30/03/2013 16:50

Primark do old fashioned styled ones.

cece · 30/03/2013 16:51

And I often find nice ones in Sainsburys.

BuggedByJake · 30/03/2013 16:51

Little White Company PJs are lovely.

I found some plain brushed cotton ones in Matalan last year and they have washed really well.

Also like Sainsbury's but their find their fit is tiny, have to buy 2-3 yrs older than DSs and they are usually in their age or smaller clothes.

BrunellaPommelhorse · 30/03/2013 17:12

i remember my Paddington ones with joy

JazzDalek · 30/03/2013 17:45

Mini Vanilla have nice PJs. Bit pricey but they have a sale section, plenty of stock last time I looked.

Sonotkylie · 30/03/2013 17:58

E bay? Try searching for 'button up/ button front' etc. Or John Lewis?

fossil971 · 30/03/2013 19:00

Boden ones do last forever. When you get the new catalogue, as soon as a decent 15% or 20% discount code comes out, grab 'em quick.

For a 2 year old though I'd look at the Gap skinny ones, they are totally cute! this sort of thing
Also at that age we had quite a lot of Mothercare pj's, some of them are a thicker softer cotton than the "character" ones and if you dig around they should have some plainer ones.

White Company

Joules do some nice ones- plain tops and tartan trousers.

ygritte · 31/03/2013 10:45

Land's end do the classic flannel pjs for boys...they are brushed (polyester), look in the outlet section.
White Company one's are much better however, 100% cotton. I only buy them half price when in the sale.
Always in a dilemma...get the flame-resistant polyester or nicer feeling flammable cotton!!

looseleaf · 31/03/2013 10:55

I just missed your post ygritte but delighted with Mini Vanilla which I didn't know about- I bought some from the sale section in just the colour I wanted and £10 with free postage. Thanks all

Another vote for White Company. The gingham classic cotton ones are lovely.

They have a lovely soft bathrobe too.
