If you have grown out a bob how long did it take?

I have a choppy short bob with a full fringe normally and I have it cut every 6-8 weeks. For various reasons I have not been able to get to the hairdressers for three months. My hair is at that awful shoulder length now, very inbetweeny. I have lots of very straight fine hair if that makes a difference. I think in the three months since I last had it done it has grown maybe 2-3 inches?

I much much prefer it in a bob but for my current circumstances I am wondering whether growing it longer so I can stick it in a ponytail is a better option.

If you have grown a bob out how long did it take for it to not look like a grown out bob (iykwim!!)

It grows about an inch a month, I think. I had it cut to chin length last April; pretty short at the back as she had to use the buzzy shaver thing. Anyway, had one tiny trim in between and it's now at just past shoulder length. If you've got to shoulder length in 3 months that's pretty fast growing. I think I've just got past the worst of the growing out bit - but it looks like it needs a cut atm
