What makes/shops would you recommend my cousin tries.she's 44, tans easily with mousy hair and green eyes. She's 44 and c5ft 4". My cousin has boobs, slim hips and nice legs. More apple than pear but has been dieting and keeping fit so will end up being a size 12 at most. I want her to look wonderful as her dp's ex will be there. Any suggestions on shops, makes, colours, style would be appreciated.

Well, I think "mother of the bride" outfits often look try-too-hard, and would look for the gorgeous version of something she might wear anyhow.

What sort of styles does she usually like, or you think she looks terrific in?

Chippychop · 31/03/2013 08:54

Yes I know what you mean. Really she's a casual dessert combats fleeces but they ar e really unflattering. On her I think. She can really nail pencil skirts long tops and leggings.Smile

Smart trouser suit and hat in the same colour, contrasting top, bag and shoes?

SquidgyMummy · 31/03/2013 11:28

I think pencil skirt sounds really lovely & sophisiticated.
Just try not to go too vampy and obviously cannot upstage mother of the bride.
how about this

StitchAteMyEasterEggs · 31/03/2013 11:31

How about a pencil skirt with a lovely top and fitted jacket then.

She could go with plain pencil and patterned top or patterned pencil and plain top.

Chippychop · 01/04/2013 15:02

I think the floral skirt is beautiful and I've forwarded it to her.

The MOTB is in purple as are bridesmaids and is a rather large, older looking 50 something. There is no love lost between the two. The MOTG is in blue and is a big personality. My d cousin, although, wouldn't admit it, feels the need to look lovely and be confident in the face of some antagonism potentially. But keep the suggestions coming....
