Hairdresser dilemma- do I change the salon or just the stylist?

I'm not sure what to do for the best. In October last year I decided to chop off m long hair and go for a bob. I went to a new salon, which was quite expensive, found a stylist who liked doing bobs and short cuts and she gave me a complete restyle, I was very happy. Next time we went for an asymmetric cut I was even happier, loved the cut and had lots of compliments.
Next time I wanted to make an appointment, she had left! Gutted. Anyway, I saw another senior stylist at the same place twice, she is also the deputy manager. I'm not quite happy with how she cut my hair :( I went twice, both times not entirely happy. I pay £45 for cut and blow dry, I want to be very happy!
So I don't know whether to go there again but ask for a different stylist ( will it be badly received? Will the other one be upset?), or go to a different place altogether?
This one is convenient and local and the atmosphere is nice. I hate going to new salons. Grrrr. I had thought I found a hairdresser for life :/

Could you phone and find where the first stylist went to ?
Otherwise phone discreetly and let the receptionist know that you weren't too happy with your last cut but that you loved the cut from x and do they have another stylist who s style of cutting is more like your first stylist.

turqoise, I tried asking where she went, they won't tell me. They say they don't know. I even called a couple of the better salons in town to see if she joined (Saddo, I know!) but no luck.
I don't know how discrete the receptionist would be and would it be awkward if I was there and the other stylist saw I chose to see someone else? :/

I had this problem a couple of years ago,
Eventually I looked for my stylist on Facebook and PMed her and she was happy to come and do my hair at home.
It's much cheaper than it was before too.

I only saw her twice and I don't know her surname! I did want to find her on Facebook but have no way of getting her full name :(

Can you ask the salon ?
I think if the salon are pro s they won't think or bother about who you see . So I would t worry about changing.
If you feel it won't work for you then I d head off to the other salons in town and try someone new . Nothing to lose
