Can anyone defrump this dress?

I bought this dress . It makes me look both slim and shapely, and I love it. EXCEPT, the length, which comes to just below the mid calf on me, makes me look really frumpy.

I wore it with black tights and black courts, which might not have helped.

Shall I take it up? Buy some new shoes? Both?

I'd welcome any suggestions.

I would take it up. I think it would look very cute a fraction shorter Smile

Where would you take it up to? Just below the knee? A bit longer than that?

Take it up. Lovely dress but even makes the model look frumpy because of the length! I'd buy it if I could be bothered to shorten it it were shorter.

Take it up and wear it with sheer tights rather than opaques, and maybe with boots not courts. I'd take it to on the knee.

I'd try it backwards. Think it would be sexier with a high neck and low back. And yes, take it up.

OneHandFlapping · 19/03/2013 22:16

OK, take it up it is then!

I would try it with sexy bright red heels - something strappy and 1940sish - before changing the length.

Frumpy is in woman! Buy some ankle boots ;)

olivertheoctopus · 19/03/2013 22:51

Shorten it. I do not understand midi skirts/dresses. Who on earth DO they look good on?!

dontyouwantmebaby · 19/03/2013 23:15

def take it up to the knee, will instantly reduce frumpiness & will suit that style and pattern of dress.

agree red shoes or boots will look good with it too.
