Bare legged for work - is it OK?

OK - I hate tan tights with a vengeance, but is it OK to go bare legged in the office in summer? Have to add that my legs are currently very pasty looking, so perhaps not a good look, but then neither are 'nude' tights IMO.

depends where you work. Where I work - university - it is fine - but then the dress code is very much whatever you feel like (for most of the staff at least)

Our office dress code is business casual. I am wearing a short sleeve wrapover style top with cream background and beige/burgundy/pink floral pattern, a dusky pink linen kneelength skirt, brown heeled court shoes and bare legs that I fake tanned last night. Because I was going out but makes them look better today.

hana · 09/05/2006 15:13

i wear bare legs teaching
not sure if same 'code' for an office

crazydazy · 09/05/2006 15:14

I've got bare legs today and feel so much cooler, had to put some fake tan on, just that Johnsons moisturiser stuff, has made them look less pasty.

Have been going on sunbeds and although my arms are quite a nice colour my legs seem to stay white, takes ages for them to colour.

Depends where you work, your legs and your role at the place you work

I always wear trousers to work even in summer

Well-applied self tanner a bonus.

I haven't taken the bare legged plunge yet but did wear brown fishnets yesterday - they look super duper.

I have actually got boots on today though because it was raining this morning.

Bozza · 09/05/2006 15:50

Yes I was wearing brown fishnets last week. But am definitely out of boots now.
