Having retrieved last years few items from under the bed I need to restock but have limited time and a very limited budget!

I'm going to hit Primarni on Wed but anyone seen any of the following elsewhere?

Nice everyday maxi dress - not tubular but not billowing either!
Dressy top to go with white linen trousers for evening
Casual tops to go with stone and navy cropped trousers
A long coral coloured necklace
Roomy over body tan bag
White top for brown/white/teal skirt- not a plain tshirt!

Any suggestions really welcomed- thanks so much!

I'm sure I saw some coral coloured necklaces in New Look recently. I think they were gold and coral flowers. Coral type colours seem to be very 'in' at the minute in New Look as well as navy featuring quite heavily in store.

But...not summer there (unless Darwin?!) going into their autumn soon? Bring a denim jacket maybe jeans..depends where you are going...i was not warm in Perth or Melbourne, in April...i had to get back into leggings and jeans after a scorching march

Fat Face have summer maxi dresses at the moment. I think they're viscose though, which might not be your bag.

I know you're going to Primark anyway so thought I'd mention the blue and white striped maxi I saw there the other week. It looked nice enough in the window display to tempt me inside. 100% cotton and only £10. I don't know how well made it was as I didn't try it on (wasn't buying and didn't want to be tempted).

Enjoy your trip :)

Take a warm jumper and a raincoat - the weather can be very changeable and that was the thing we didn't pack enough of.

lololizzy · 18/03/2013 23:29

yep when it rains out there it really rains! i swear the raindrops are like ten times the size of ours.

boohoo for maxi dresses theres loads for £10! theres loads of tops etc, some god damn awful some nice........

You will need some warm clothing. It's not all sunshine and SummerBay there, it gets cold in the autumn and winter.

My niece went to the Whitsunday Islands this time last year and had to buy a cosy top and a beanie to keep her head warm......and she lives in Sydney and should know better.

Have a lovely time.

Looking a the forecast for next couple of weeks it's not going to be below 70 and some days into the 80s!

Warm enough for me!

I wore a very warm fleece jacket while going on a reef walk one evening on heron island in the whitsundays - I was toasty - all the other people in our group who had initially ought I was bonkers were freezing - oh how smug was I!

merlin · 19/03/2013 14:32

I know it cools down at night so will take jacket for that (and a brolly!) but days are looking lovey at the mo!
