Security tag left on baby clothing?

Bought a top and leggings for my 6mo in mothercare yesterday. When I unpacked the bag they had left the security tag in Hmm the item was only £2 in the sale and it's a good 1h 20 round trip back so a bit of a mission though outfit v cute. I have the receipt etc but would obv rather avoid trekking back there if poss.

Anyone any tips on removing them??

Two forks to prise them apart and a lot of patience. I think it took me about 40 minutes to get the one off I found on the inside pocket in a new handbag, 6 months after I'd bought it and no longer had the receipt.

Keep the baby away as well, as they have ball bearings and a little spring inside which flirt out when you do break them apart.

Take it to another shop, with reciept and explain. They'll probably help you out.

Thanks FOB will give that a try. Typically the item is cream as well so avoiding leaving marks could be a mission.

Worse things happen at sea but is such a pain!

Oh that's a good idea pramdunce. My nearest new look is only15 mins away and they might help. I might phone and ask them first.

If itsa pointy tag, one of the cone shaped ones, simply take hammer and smash.

Don't try and do it yourself.
Take it to New Look - or a locka supermarket which sells clothes, and explain.
