Best make of jeans for ladies in their forties?

I'm sick of looking like a tramp in my jeans. Currently wear next because I know they fit but they look tatty. I'm 45 and can't do the jeans made for teenagers. I need a good pair of jeans that look smart and sexy, in the hope that I will become smart and sexy and not look like a tatty tramp any more!
I was in GAP last week and some ladies around my age were trying on these dark jeans and they looked fabulous on. Are gap jeans any good generally?
If you can be bothered to add your thoughts I'd be very grateful!

Have you tried M&Co? They are good on the waist and quality is really good

I am 40 something.I live in M&S pull on jeggings. They make me look a size slimmer and actually look like skinnys on.I've also bought NYDJ's in the past and they were flattering on.

I am in 40s and wear Gap straight leg jeans (skinny jeans do not suit me), they are v flattering and look smart too, mine are dark indigo. IME Gap jeans pretty good and last/wash well.

GAP Real Straight
or Boden skinnies which have a decently high-rise waist that hold in the muffin

Levi curve id jeans seem to lift and shape your bottom; highish waist keeps tummy flat and range of curves means they suit all shapes (I think)

Thanks Loads! I shall go off and investigateSmile

I jut bought
these they're a lovely fit, not ankle clenching skinnies but slin enough to look fashionable....can roll up or down, and a good colour......really versatile.
P.s just because you're past 40 doesn't mean you should completely discount "teenager" shops..

Levis are good. If you can get to a shop, the assistants are fab IME.

You tell them what you want. They look at you. They give you 4 pairs to try and you want to buy each one!

They'll adjust length for free also. But £80 ish. Worth it if you wear jeans a load.
