La Redoute. What a strange little company it is.

Isn't it? Random collection of mismatched clothes, random sizing, very strange what is its target market? Always find it's call centre operators really snotty too. Last night I was told that the courier hasn't turned up 4 times in a row due to the weatherHmm. We have no snow here......

It never ceases to disappoint me!
I had two shirts from the SAME range; one a size 12, the other an 18. Bonkers.

orangeandlemons · 14/03/2013 15:33

No, nor me. Everything is either shit, shi or ...well...um...shit really. The colours are horrid too. I suit cool colours and nearly everything in there is a warm based colour, even the blues and green. The fit is bizarre and random on everything too

And the leather is usually poor quality and over-priced too

Sonotkylie · 14/03/2013 17:44

Snotty call centre operators are trying to give it that stereotypical French don't give a damn style so it can live up to its name

germyrabbit · 14/03/2013 17:45

just order online? i quite like the company myself and buy quite alot from it. beats the boring high st

VictorTango · 14/03/2013 17:48

I think it's always poor quality. I bet like verbaudet

VictorTango · 14/03/2013 17:48

*bit

BeehavingBaby · 14/03/2013 17:52

they really do seem to be attempting to cover all bases with their catalogue don't they? Have some lovely jumpers from them though.

LadyBigtoes · 14/03/2013 17:54

Yes, I don't get la redoute or vertbaudet at all. Loads of advertising and weird "membership" hassle backed up by disappointing tat. Then once you have bought one thing, that you didn't like much, they never leave you alone for the rest of your life.

gastrognome · 14/03/2013 20:10

Loathe them. Absolutely massive in France and Belgium. I've had nothing but appalling customer service (including blatant lying by them, as admitted by another of their customer service advisers), rubbish clothes, poor quality, slow delivery, and forest-destroying levels of junk mail.

BreasticlesNotTesticles · 14/03/2013 20:13

Verbaudet piss me off. Their discounts structure is like an episode of number wang Hmm

sallyfromthealley · 14/03/2013 20:13

I have never seen a single thing in their catalogues that I would buy so I wouldn't know.

FrancesFarmer · 14/03/2013 20:24

I used to buy from them - I got a great Isabel Marant coat and tops when she did a collaboration with them a few years ago. They've gone downhill since then, I think.

JackieTheFart · 14/03/2013 20:40

I like them.

I've bought loads of stuff and all of it washes well and looks nice. Also had super-fast delivery on all of the stuff I bought.

hugoagogo · 14/03/2013 21:29

I like them especially for clothes for dd (10) who doesn't want teenager clothes yet- plainish tshirts and so on.

I have no idea about the call centre-I always order online.

bulletproofgerbil · 15/03/2013 06:52

I can't work it out. All I've ever bought are 3 muslin panels for the bathroom, landing and hall windows which I like and are really different to anything I've seen anywhere else. V good price and delivery pretty fast.

Had one item that didn't turn up and Iwasn't happy that customer services said they'd pass my complaint onto the courier firm who might write to me. They didn't. After a week, I emailed customer services back, told them as I hadn't received the item, I'd like my money back. They did that but I get the feeling if I hadn't contacted them, I'd have never heard from them or the couriers about it again.

I did however receive a letter after this with a 50% off voucher for anything I wanted to order, because I'd been dissatisfied.
