New jeans - recommendations please?? Expensive or cheap and cheerful?

I need to get two pairs of news jeans - some darker skinny ones for smart/casual and a new pair for everyday wear. Am size 10/12dependent on make, 5ft7. I need something that isn't low rise (sadly all my jeans are and doesn't go well with post baby tum!).

Any recommendations? Some well rated makes are quite expensive - happy to spend a bit but not loads. Or just get cheap and cheerful??

I have been pleasantly surprised with the ASDA lift and shape ones.

New Look jeans are decent and not too bank breaking. According to the shop assistant who advised me, they recommend buying your normal size rather than up or downsizing. Worked for me and I am at the larger end of their sizes.

Just bought some M&S Eva jeans and they are amazing. Give you a great shape and hold you in in all the right places. They do three different styles depending on your body shape - the Eva's aren't low rise because they are designed for women with no waist, but they also do Marilyn for apple shapes and another name Lana? for pear shapes I think. They are straight legged and I think the advice I saw was to size down. I'm a 12/14 and I got a 12 and they are a perfect fit.

I got some skinny high rise Levis lately and they are gorgeous but frankly if you shop around you can probably find something equally good for less money.
