Should I get a Michael Kors rose gold watch? Or have I missed the boat?!

I am looking for a new watch. I want something current and on trend and would like a 'statement' watch.

I love the Michael Kors watches, but I know that these have been around for a while now and I don't want to get one, only for it to look dated quickly when people move on to the next big thing.

What do you stylish lot think?!

I don't know anybody personally who actually has a MK watch, so I won't feel like I am following the crowd too much iyswim.

If not the Michael Kors, then which other style is new and on trend?

yes shopafrolic i love it too, but am paranoid about being thinking that i'm trying to be trendy, when i'm so clearly not

i do realise this makes me sounds a bit bananas Confused

I don't think it makes you look like you are trying to be trendy, though. If you like it, why not get it and enjoy it?

bishboschone · 13/03/2013 18:22

I have the stainless steel plain one . Much more timeless than rose gold IMO .ill try and link.

shopafrolic · 13/03/2013 19:26

If you like it, buy it. I couldn't care less if people think I'm trying to be trendy. I just love the watch.

fooolofbeans · 13/03/2013 20:10

nah its me more than what others think i s'pose, i just dont like to be too 'mainstream' which in itself sounds like a bit of a nobby thing to say Wink Blush

I just like oversized watches and rose gold. But then I like my bright orange rubber swatch too. I couldn't stick to one watch for the rest of my life even if it was Cartier or Hermes. I've only recently started wearing watches, but they still annoy me and I only wear one about 2 days out of 7.

chicaguapa · 13/03/2013 20:24

Oooo! I bought myself a MK watch for my 40th. I had no idea I was so on trend. Though I got this one so it's quite different to the (probably) trendy ones and less expensive. So maybe I'm not as with it after all.

fooolofbeans · 13/03/2013 20:51

thats lovely chica, i was very accidentally on trend too!!

Beaverfeaver · 13/03/2013 22:20

I prefer the Marc Jacobs ones.oruginally wanted rise gold too, but was worried about fashion changing quickly so hot it in stainless steel with yellow gold accents.
Means it doesn't class with anything else I wear regulary

Some really good points raised here. Mainly that if I like it I should just get it! I actually think I like them all!

I will definitely try to find the alabaster one I linked to, as I think that looks nice and a bit different. If not that one, then I may go for the rose gold and just accept that it will go out of fashion at some point (which I don't mind).

Thanks for all your advice.
