I am starting this thread which you are all free to ignore to make me post on it every day that I got up, did my hair and make up and put on decent clothes that fit properly instead of my horrible joggers and DPs sheepy fleece.

I have doublewear. And primer. WTF do I do with primer? Will it make me look 22 hopeful?

I must change my ways. I am resolved. I have the willpower of a gnat and predict I will last a week, max.

Great idea. I always feel better on days when I make an effort.

Primer goes on after moisturiser and before make up. It acts as a base for foundation etc so it goes on nicely and often has things like light reflecting particles in it to make your skin look smoother.

I like to make sure everything has time to settle / sink in so I usually slap moisturiser on, put undies on and choose what I'm going to wear, put primer on, get dressed and sort my hair out, then do make up.

My everyday makeup routine takes less than 2 mins. Slap on tinted BB cream, dab of cream blusher, slick of v neutral eyeshadow, quick mascara then lipstick. If I have extra time I'll do my eyebrows, concealer and a dark eyeshadow as eyeliner.

go and get your eyelashes dyed. it makes your eyes more defined without having to do anything else.

also have your hair in a style which is easy to maintain - so no having to straighten it to look good etc.

let your moisturiser sink in before applying primer, then let your primer 'set' before applying foundation. use your fingers and just apply where you need it most then blend with your fingers. you will probably need blusher as well otherwise you will look a bit like 'death'Grin

the more you practice, the easier it will get. try and get into a routine, and make sure you give yourself enough time otherwise you'll just rush, not do a good job and then give up (probably).

I've found it useful to watch some makeup tutorials on YouTube.
