I'm a bridesmaid, need outfit for DS (3) to match...

So, I'm a bridesmaid in May and will be wearing this.

DS is also going, and as I'm actually going to be making an effort with my appearance (for a change!), i'm hoping to get to a pic with him that is a 'framer'. Or at least not horrendous....
So, thought it would be nice to complement each other. Though as i'm so very bad at this sort of thing I'll go with 'not clash terribly' Grin

Few facts:
Prob looking at age 4 clothes for DS.
We are both blonde
Wedding reception is marquee on a farm, festival-ly vibe
Budget max £40 (is that reasonable?)

Also looking for something to cover me up for chilly evening when things have got a tad more relaxed.

All suggestions greatly appreciated. Am really rubbish at this, not very 'groomy' normally!

Your link just goes to the Monsoon homepage.

What's he comfortable in?

I'd say (if he'd be comfortable), a pair of cream linen trousers, pale pink shirt (to match your dress) and cream linen waistcoat.

When I click on the link it goes the specific dress page on monsoon Confused have I not done it right? Anyway, it is the Jessica dress.

Not sure pale pink would go as the dress is more a nude/beige-y colour in real life. Little waistcoat would likely look v cute, though don't know how he'd take to wearing one - willing to give it a go though. He's fine in shirts, as long as they 'move' well - he does not like to keep still! (like most 3yo boys I'd imagine!)

Any good websites I should look at? Ta!

I honestly wouldn't worry about him "matching you" - indeed, that can look a bit 'naff' IMVHO Grin I'd just look for something that makes him look 'smart' and apparent it's for a special occasion. At that age, for my ds (don't necessarily want to tar yours with the same brush) I'd definitely have got him 2 outfits so he can change when he spills something / falls in the mud / gets too hot / etc. and he can still look nice.

I like Monsoon's cream linen trousers and waistcoats for little boys. My son has worn them a couple of times. I wouldn't get the jacket (too formal for a little one) and it's gotta be the linen. Wear with brown bumper/converse style shoes. Smart but age appropriate and comfy IMO.

How about these and this for DS?

A wee black tailored bolero or a black pashmina would be fab over your dress.
