Jeggings: thank you for saving me from middle age!

There was a thread on here a couple of weeks ago about jeggings and people with parsnip shaped legs who are maybe a size 18. That is me, although I'm nearer a 16 I have now got two pairs, both shamefully from Sainsbos. They are just brilliant, my boot cuts are going in the bin tomorrow

I am losing weight so don't want to spend money on stuff until I get near where I need to be: but crikey, these are great.

One question: what do you wear on top? I am finding this a bit difficult unless just a frumpy big t. Ideas?

Agree tiger, they are so versatile.
I wear mine with long jersey tops or vests with cardigan or long shirts like this

I'm a size 14-16, I wear mine with Primark basic tops. A long vest underneith to cover the camel toe and a fitted long sleeved top over it. Vests are £2 each and tops are £3.50 each, in all colours of the rainbow!

Thank you both. Result: I found a couple of tunics (I think they are holiday "cover ups", but they look fine) in the back of a drawer. They fit, and look good over the jeggings with a vest underneath. Might get a denim shirt if I can find a nice one at a good price.

Get layering! I am a size 14 and far bigger round the middle than I should be so skinnies and jeggings have to be approached with caution. I wear a long ribbed vest (2 for £12 from Miss Selfridge and you have to size down by at least one size). That holds me together in the middle and then I can wear a looser, slightly shorter top on top of that, like a Zara short-sleeved linen T-shirt for example. No parsnip legs in sight Grin
