Got £40 of vouchers to spend in House of Fraser, what should I buy?

I've got £40 of vouchers, the store is so big (I'm planning to go to Oxford Street) I don't know where to start!

I am 42, 5' 6", size 10. SAHM so don't need smart clothes, am a scruff who lives in jeans and t-shirts at the moment. I do need a smart dress for an occasion next summer, but would need to cover my arms if I get a dress.

Don't know where to start looking - what's worth looking at in there?

Am willing to spend up to £40 of own money, so £80 total tops Smile

Firstly wait.
H of f do special events regularly where they reduce substantial amounts off lots of their things including the concessions.
If you are not local to a branch sign up for emails.

They have damsel in a dress, mango, warehouse, white stuff, mint velvet and untold in your price range. Also coast, whistles Hobbs Vivienne Westwood etc

If you can hit them during a special event you could get a real bargain.

another friend just linked to a totally fab silver leather skirt from HoF, think it was £62 in the sale, but not sure it sounds like your thing?

SaladIsMyFriend · 09/03/2013 19:36

Ooh Vivienne Westwood you say...am going to sign up for emails then, thanks!

I would love a leather skirt, maybe not in silver though!

Is their sale still on then?

Agree with Pag.

They haven't had a 25% off event for ages, so I am sure they will be due one soon.

You could browse online and see if there are any particular brands that take your fancy and then once in store you can specifically head there rather thn wandering aimlessly around? I tend to do a lot of online research before hitting the shops and it really does help me focus.

Also the personal shopping service there is good. I like having someone go through the rails for me.

i wanted a pair of jeans or black trousers and at least 50 pairs were shown to me to try on in a lovely big dressing room. while she looked I had fantastic little cakes and read magazines.

I purchased the trousers and a top for 50 quid total.

Thanks for the further replies!

travelinColour I haven't been measured for a new bra for ages, that's a whole different (long) issue...

mirpuppet that's a good idea, might try a personal shopper when they have a special event on!

Thanks all Thanks
