I need a pair (or two) of nice tights to go with my dress for my son's wedding.

I am in late 50's, wear jeans/trousers 110% of the time so never normally need tights.

I want some tights that are opaque, will flatter my legs & cover (a bit) all the imperfections & the odd broken vein.

I am a size 16, lower legs not too fat but have quite a big arse & thighs.

My dress is knee length & navy blue & my hat is also navy as are my shoes. Do not want navy tights!

Can any of you recommend some tights that will be fairly comfortable & flattering?

I am not wanting any sort of tummy control things.

Wedding is not for another 10 weeks so have time to try some out.

I do not want to be dealing with crack issues at DS's wedding! Grin

is the dress fitted or flared or a line? Are you entirely navy? i would defo break that up with something bright like a turquoise bag.

Wolford do nice tights, i also rate m&s. i tend to go into the hosiery section of a dept store (HoF or Selfridges are usually good) and see what takes my fancy.

Odd as it sounds, i find flesh coloured fishnets are very forgiving. you can't tell till really close up.

Yep Wolford do good opaque tights.

Wolford or Falke

Navy tights will make you look taller and slimmer if your dress and shoes are the same colour btw though you'd need contrasting accessories to lift I all.

Mytights.co.uk is a good website

Thanks

I think I need to break up the navy a bit.

My handbag is navy - as it is the clutch bag that I had at mt wedding (nearly 30 years ago) & it looks really good & I want to use it for all the sentimental reasons. DS was at my wedding! And I'll be at his.
