I like this collar, but how would I wear it?

apart from around my neck I'm a bit wary of these separate collars and much as I love this, I dont know if I would ever be able to wear it.

Adapting things that dont quite work is often the answer. Are you handy with a needle? Could you fashion it into an exotic merkin?
