and is it ok for christening? Sorry im 32, new mum still have very wobbly bits and havent been out for nearly 2 years, thought asos was the place to look for something nice, but im happy to be proven wrong. I live in jeans and tracksuit tops so this is a major thing for me, I have 2 weddings and a christening this year and would really love to look half decent. i just dont have a clue when it comes to shoes and bags and things or stuff...

This is the dress anyway, i do love the colour... blue asos dress

Oooh, good choice VIX this is lovely! My bridesmaids actually wore something very similar.

What kind of colours do you like wearing/have in your wardrobe? Will you be buying something to go with it, or using something you have already?

I'm no help. Should have seen my christening help thread Grin but wanted to say the dress is lovely!

Looks a little bit casual as shown. I think it will look great if you wear tights and nice heels with it, and a nice blazer maybe.

OOH Glad you seem to like it, I have most colours in my wardrobe although i tend to gravitate to black/navy trousers with different coloured tops. Just the shoes i live in flat pumps or converse so worried about how ill manage in heels, think ill go to town today and have a mooch round. the christenings not till may im just really eager not to be seen as the scruffy tramp Grin

Ahh you won't, you'll look lovely!

What about some mid-height heels? Then you won't be tottering all day? Don't know what budget you've got in mind but Dorothy Perkins often do nice nude/neutral heels.

Other possibility is turquoise? Bit more out there but could look really lovely. Or a pale/blush pink?

Lots of shops are selling kitten heels at the moment. So only about 1-2 inches on the heel.Shoe zone had lots of them online and they were less than £20 a pair.

Cheeseandchive wow, thankyou i hadnt even thought of turquoise but that would look fab with it (i think anyway) plus turquoise is my fave colour, right im off to look for turquoise shoes - never in my life thought i would say that! thanks!

Ahh brilliant! Yeah my bridesmaids nearly went with them (though not in the end) and they looked brill when they tried them on.

These are a good price and have a sturdy heel, which is good if you're worry about tottering around!
