Hi, I think Im going to give in & treat myself to some at last.

Do you know where might be the best place to get them?

Try local hair salons near you, I paid £120 for mine over 3 years ago they still as good as new. I beleieve they are even cheaper now and you can often get the sets with free hairdryers etc too.

You could also try the ghd website themselves as they often have promotions on.

I would not reccomend you buy from ebay as there are way too many fakes around. They will all say they are genuine but most are not.

Also meant to say, when I bought mine there was a section on the ghd website where you chould check authourised stockists in your area so you knew you would be getting genuine ones. that may be wortha try before you actually buy.
