Toe nails - what colour?

I asked this on the summer toes thread and got jack all replies, sooooo what colour do the fashionistas reckon I should paint my claws?

paintbox red. its the only colour for me.

although i also like chanels baby pink and the Uma Thurman chanel black is back in fashion again

mine are dark red to match my new sandals

hmmm i have a goldish pink irridescenty number but it really doesn't work on pale skin, so at beg of summer i think stronger colours better. have a few "comedy" colours too (blue, green, etc) but they look awful because of lack of warm tones imo

I go pale, like french polish non-colour iyswim.

Although I have read, the no nail polish is in, and you just have to have a good pedicure and polish your nails. Sounds like a load of bull to me though.

If you go pale, you can just pile on layer after layer if it chips and it still looks good, dark colours can look a bit lumpy if you do this.

I've been scrutinising mine this morning because it's the first day it's been warm enough for sandals. I think, like olive, I'm going for 'so natural it doesn't look like I'm wearing any'. I've got a French manicure set somewhere.

I pile on layer after layer as I have better things to do than take chipped nail polish off and reapply every few days.

I can't at the moment think of anything better I have to do, but surely there is something??????

olive, i bought one of those buffing things a few years ago and they really do work, lovely shine

ok seeing as mine are naked at the moment I'll go for a cream/transluscent sort of colour, then if I'm not sure then it's a deep red - or I could do one foot of each!

I'm still using last year's rave on here, Revlon's Stone Edge. I alwasy do what mn tells me.

I've got a dark cherry colour on ATM.

fushcia pink or french manicure look

mines a metallic pale blue at the moment - cause it went with the outfit on saturday and i can't be bothered to remove it.

I painted mine bluey green before a holiday to Italy once.
While sipping wine in a gorgeous square one evening I felt a strange tapping sensation on my feet....pigeons were trying to eat my toe nails.

I think pale nails are in. I've got an iridescent pale pink on atm. But I like dark reds and pinks on toes too. For some reason I think a French manicure looks strange on toes. I like having my toenails really short.

I find french manicures on toes creepy too. Nothing against a nude/pale pink colour, it's the white tips I can't be doing with.

Oh and DS likes to advise me on what colour to wear.
