Urgent! Olive oil for conditioner

I have curly hair that gets very tangled. I can only comb it in shower with conditioner in and conditioner is an absolute essential for me- more so than shampoo.

My hair badly needs washing but I've just realised there's no conditioner. I need to do it ASAP as don't want to sleep on it wet so can't go out and buy some.

In the absence of conditioner will olive oil do anything? I've heard it can do wonders for hair... Do I need to do anything in particular or just use it as I would conditioner.

Sorry I know this isn't really a problem but want to get in the shower soon and this is the best source of knowledge I have for these things!

I would say ok to using it, but hardly any on your roots & lather your ends. Be sure to rinse thoroughly bitter experience of coconut oil

I do not accept any responsibility if it looks like you have dipped your hair in a deep fat fryer!

Are you sure you have no conditioner. No hotel freebies lurking, some hiding away in an overnight bag??

Fabric conditioner will do the job if you have it.

I've got really sensitive skin so not sure about fabric conditioner... I've searched everywhere... We have whole shelves of hotel toiletries but no conditioner!

Ok will give it a go! Thanks!

no corner shop?

No, olive oil is not a hair conditioner. You need a polar substance.
