hair removal burns!!

Help! Just zapped my tache with usuall hair removal cream and looks and feels like I've burned my skin!! Have smothered with sudocreme. Do you think this will work or will I be disfigured??!!!

I have always had bad experience with creams, sometimes I use them and they cause a reaction, other times they don't.

I must be out of the loop, didn't realise you could get facial hair removal creams nowadays.
