What does one wear a denim shirt with?

Went to the shops for the first time in aaaaages and noticed they were everywhere! But styled with denim which just looks too Pet shop boys to me! Or is that in vogue now?

I like a bit of double denim myself but I think there are a lot of styling open over tight tops with maxi skirts and such like.

I had the same problem after I bought one! Have had a look on Pintrest and came up with a few ideas. I have so far worn it with black skinnies and long tan brown boots. Also looks good with a pencil skirt (grey textured one) and same boots.
You are right about not with other denim - it's just too 80s for me!

I like them open over a sleeveless dress in the summer, as I only show the tops of my arms when it's really hot.

Or over black skinnies.

Or open over a camisole and full skirt in the summer.

In fact I need a new one - where has good ones (quite fitted) at the mo?

According to today's Sunday Times, they should be tucked into a leather pencil skirt.

I have been wearing mine with black jersey harem trousers.

I never double denim!
But I wear my denim shirt all the time:
Tucked into a black jersey pencil skirt for work.
buttoned up to the neck and tucked into bottle green skinny jeans.
Tucked into a cord skirt with a breton jumper over
In spring / summer over a white vest, shirt open, with aqua skinnys
