BaByliss Big Hair - thank you MN!

After many recommendations from MNetters, I finally bought the Big Hair. I have just used it for the first time and I LOVE it. I was very doubtful and it seemed to be a lot of money but I got it in the sale for a good price. It was surprisingly easy to use and my hair looks so much better than it does after my usual hairdryer followed by straighteners combo. I am hoping it will also be less damaging to my hair. I would never have found it if it wasn't for MN so thank you!

I've been dithering about one of these. I'm worried it would get tangled up. Also would it be any use on a short bob?

cornycruzcampo · 01/03/2013 14:57

where did you buy it from? Mine has packed up.

corny They have a 3 year guarantee and as I am pretty sure they haven't been in existence for 3 years, I would contact Babyliss or the shop you got it from.

I am on my 3rd one!

Each has suddenly stopped and made a smoky smell after about 1 year or so. Thankfully I bought from John lewis so just pop in, return the faulty one and they give me a new one off the shelf.

The moral is keep your receipt for the BBH!

Tom no would be useless imo on a short bob - hair need to be touching the shoulders I reckon as the brush is thick.

I got mine from Sainsburys online - they had £10 off.

Thanks for the tip of keeping the receipt!

Thanks Up I thought that would prob be the caseSmile

Tbh I get along pretty well with a round brush and dryer anyway - I just like gadgetsGrin

I have a short (just above chin) poker straight bob and I use the smaller barrelled one to turn the ends under when my hair is very nearly dry. I absolutely love it, would recommend. It doesn't get tangled up, but it does cause a bit of static for a short while. I got mine from Argos as I think at the time they were the only people stocking the smaller barrelled one.

I didn't keep the receipt darn it! There's hair stuck in the rolly bit. My hair is really flat without it.

LulaPalooza · 01/03/2013 15:27

I love my BBH too. I bought mine off another MNer. My hair is long bob at the front, shortish at the back and am trying to grow it out. My BBH lets me put soft flicky bits into the ends (that sounds horrid, but it isn't... honest) and is definitely much kinder to my hair than my GHDs

cornycruzcampo · 01/03/2013 15:27

will have to pop to sainsbury's tonight then!

My Barnett has been transformed with this product! I used to look like a mixture between Anita Dobson & Brian May but no more! LOVE it
